Stage 4 | Technical Design

RIBA Plan of Works | Stage 4 | Technical Design

"Prepare Technical Design in accordance with Design Responsibility Matrix and Project Strategies to include all architectural, structural and building services information, specialist sub-contractor design and specifications, in accordance with Design Programme."

We will provide the technical construction drawings and as most building projects will require a submission for a Building Warrant, we would make this application to the relevant Local Authority on your behalf. These may also require the services of external consultants, including a Structural Engineer, Mechanical and Electrical Engineer, energy consultant etc. and we have a network of trusted Consultants whom we would approach on your behalf to work alongside us in developing the technical drawings where neccessary.

Information shown on the technical drawings includes positioning of electrical fittings, specification of heating specification and radiator positions, material finishes, insulation etc. In the local area we have a good working relationship with a number of the Building Standards Officers, who would be checking these drawings to confirm that they meet with the current Building Regulations. This would also be the time to invite Contractors to quote for the construction work. Over a number of years we have developed relationships with a number of Local, Trusted, Contractors, and either ourselves or the Quantity Surveyor would invite Contractors to provide prices.
